Job Function

Manage the execution of the people and culture practices and policies in the operating companies under the direction of the Senior Vice President People and Culture, and VP Market Access Healthcare. Actively apply and monitor fulfilment against the People & Culture calendar as well as in-business application of People & Culture projects in the areas of responsibility (Namibia, Botswana & SA).

Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of services.
  • Implement the People and Culture strategy and plans within an operating companies, focusing on areas such as performance and talent practices, employee engagement, attracting and retaining the right talent for the operating company
  • Report on the performance of multiple business practices
  • Design and optimise multiple business practices in the context of a value chain operational strategy and model, legislation, standards, industry trends and other business intelligence
  • Manage a People budget.
  • Design and monitor programmes that will improve productivity and inculcate a performance culture throughout Imperial, whilst keeping employees engaged and motivated.
  • Drive the People and Culture agenda within the operating companies
  • Deliver and evaluate P&C services delivered to the operating companies
  • Partner and / or consults with business leaders in the deployment of relevant people and culture strategies in key areas namely Talent Management, IR/ER, HRD/OD, Compliance.
  • Define and drive Change Management and Communication plans for the implementation of multiple business practices
  • Complete own training successfully as per an agreed personal development plan (PDP).
  • Interpret P&C data and provide analysis that is relevant and meaningful to the operating companies i.e. reporting on key people metrics, planning, developing and executing suitable solutions to address relevant insights / challenges. Develop expense and Capex budgets for operations and ensure continuous cost control.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification

Skilled and requirements

 

  • Up to 8 years of experience in a similar environment, with at least 5 years business leadership / specialist experience.
  • Experience in African Markets will be an advantage.
